너 자신을 알라 Know Yourself

 

사람들이 외적으로  Even if people know everything externally
모든것을 안다해도  And claim to know everything
내적으로 자신존재  Internally, if they don't know
존재함을 모르는게  Their own existence
아무것도 모르는것  It's as if they know nothing

모든것을 알기보다  Rather than knowing everything
자신존재 아는것이  Knowing one's own existence
훨씬더욱 어려웁고  Is much more difficult
한평생을 허무하게  Living one's whole life
살아가다 떠나가네  In vain, and then departing

이세상에 태어나서  Born into this world
살아가는 진정의미  The true meaning of living
알려주는 사람없어  There is no one to teach
알려하는 사람없고  And no one to impart
허무하게 살다가며  Living in vain

하나님의 형상으로  As beings created
만들어진 인간들이  In the image of God
믿음없고 신앙생활  Without faith and proper religious life
제대로도 못하면서  Unable to do it properly
욕심또한 못버리네  Unable to rid themselves of greed

하나님을 믿으면서  Believing in God
하나님과 함께하며  Walking with God
이세상이 천국임을  Realizing this world is heaven
영원토록 영생함을  And eternal life
깨달음은 자신이네  Enlightenment comes from within

 

너 자신을 알라 Know Yourself
