66절. 세상에 쓸모 없는 사람은 없다

There are no useless people in the world                         

 

 

 

세상사는 동안에는  During one's life in the world
경쟁들을 지나치게  Excessive competition
조장하는 사회풍조  Encouraged societal atmosphere
그속에서 좌절하고  Within it, feeling frustrated
무력감에 흔들리네  Feeling powerless

누구든지 자신들의  Anyone who finds
존재의미 발견하고  Meaning in their existence
자신들을 사랑하고  Loving themselves
소중함을 깨달아서  Realizing their worth
살아가야 의미있네  Must live a meaningful life

하잘것이 없는 재주  Even if one has no special talents
적절하게 요긴하게  They can still be useful
쓰일때가 있다하네  There comes a time to be used
한가지의 재주라도  Even if it's just one talent
없더라도 상관없네  It doesn't matter

곧은나무 좋은가구  Straight trees make good timber
열매나무 좋은음식  Fruit trees provide good food
꽃나무는 여자들이  Flowering trees are for women
좋은나무 베어지고  Good trees are harvested
굽은나무 여름시원  Curved trees provide shade in summer

맹자어록 자포자기  As Mencius said, those who harm themselves
스스로를 해치는자  Are unable to work together
말을함께 할수없고  And cannot share words
스스로를 버리는자  Those who abandon themselves
함께일을 할수없네  Cannot work together
